About the client

Wensink Automotive has been delivering worry-free mobility for over 35 years. With more than 1,400 employees across approximately 40 locations in the North and East of the Netherlands, Wensink helps customers get from A to B. Their offering includes new and used vehicles from brands such as Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, smart, and FUSO, along with a wide range of sales and service solutions. Sustainability is a key priority and is embedded throughout their operations.

About the project

To prepare for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Wensink asked 2BHonest to support them in identifying their most important sustainability topics. A double materiality analysis was the starting point for this process.

Activities

We began with a double materiality analysis, examining competitors, sector initiatives, and relevant certifications to map out key sustainability topics for Wensink. These insights were further refined through interviews with both internal and external stakeholders.

In two workshops, we assessed and prioritized the topics. One of the most material themes identified was CO₂ emissions—both within Wensink’s own operations and across its value chain. In the coming year, efforts will focus on making these emissions transparent and measurable.

Results

The project delivered a clear overview of Wensink’s material sustainability topics and a concrete action plan to guide their next steps. This foundation enables Wensink to take targeted action and report transparently under the CSRD.
