About the client
Techniek NederlandTechniek Nederland is the trade association for the technical sector and represents more than 6,300 companies and self-employed professionals in the installation industry and technical retail. As one of the largest employers’ organizations in the Netherlands, plays a crucial role in the sector.
About the project
With the introduction of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), many members of the Dutch Association of Installation Contractors ( Techniek Nederland ) are required to transparently disclose sustainability information and performance in their annual reports. As a trade association, the Dutch Association of Installation Contractors ( Techniek Nederland ) plays an important role in promoting knowledge sharing and the implementation of the CSRD within the installation sector. We assisted with this CSRD support for the installation sector.
Work
To support members subject to the CSRD in their reporting, we conducted a dual materiality analysis in collaboration with Techniek Nederland and a working group of members. This analysis included working sessions and a stakeholder dialogue with key industry stakeholders such as manufacturers, banks, wholesalers, installers, and accountants. The goal was to gain insight into material sustainability issues, data collection, and the associated challenges and opportunities.
Result
We compiled the results into a final report and templates for members to conduct their own dual materiality analysis. In addition, we developed various general CSRD resources, including a webinar, a step-by-step guide, and an FAQ on the website Techniek Nederland.
By taking the lead on CSRD as a trade association, we are joining forces and fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration among our members. 2BHonest has provided us with excellent guidance in this process by truly walking our members through the first steps of their reporting.
