About the client
Actemium and Omexom are subsidiaries of VINCI Energies Nederland. Actemium focuses on improving industrial processes in various sectors, including the food, beverage, feed, and chemical industries. Omexom is driving the energy transition by providing consulting, engineering, construction, and maintenance services for the energy grid.
About the project
Actemium and Omexom asked 2BHonest to develop a sustainability strategy and assist with its implementation — a joint strategy that addresses the issues important to both companies.
Work
We began by conducting a baseline assessment to identify the most important sustainability issues. Among other things, we conducted interviews with relevant internal and external stakeholders. Based on this analysis, we developed a strategic framework consisting of pillars and underlying themes.
In the months that followed, we supported Actemium and Omexom in implementing their sustainability strategy by facilitating various working groups and developing communication materials for both internal and external stakeholders.
Result
Actemium and Omexom were asked to place additional focus on various sustainability topics that both companies need to address in order to reduce their environmental impact and initiate a sustainable transition, thereby ensuring they remain relevant as market players in the future. The working groups set to work to develop practical approaches to these topics, resulting in action plans that involve the entire organization.
Putting our sustainability strategy in writing has really brought it to life for our organization. We’re more focused and can take more targeted action.
